The Grange Rehabilitation and Respite Facility
Set within beautifully landscaped grounds with a specially designed recovery garden, The Grange will provide an exemplar 70 bed rehabilitation and post-operative care facility with a short-term respite care provision.
The Surrey based, Geoghegan Group are renowned for providing an individual bespoke approach to their clients’ needs whether short or long term. The Grange will give clients the opportunity to recuperate, rehabilitate and recover in a nurturing and supportive environment. Excellent standards of care will be delivered through a high staff to client ratio of nursing care which will be supported by other health care professionals and domestic staff. This will be implemented with the guidance of the hospital surgical and multi-disciplinary team on discharge to ensure seamless care. A complete care plan will be made for each client from arrival with the reassurance of a carefully managed return home programme.
The comfortable ensuite bedrooms will be havens of peace and quiet while there will also be sociable communal areas like a dining room, a drawing room and conservatory.
While there will be many opportunities to rest and recuperate, as part of the holistic vision of the Geoghegan Group, there will be an emphasis on physiotherapy that improves long term outcomes for anyone who has had surgery. A range of therapies will be available tailored to specific needs. Along with a specialised gym and a hydrotherapy pool, The Grange will benefit from access not only to its own green space but its proximity to the Activity Park if outdoor exercise is suitable for the individual concerned.

Brookmead Place Extra Care Apartments
As older people are living longer and living better many prefer to live independently for as long as possible but need the reassurance of access to onsite care provision and support.
The 100 Extra Care Apartments in Brookmead Place will be delivered through small clusters of apartments each serviced by a lift with 24 hour support and some communal shared spaces.
It is envisaged that the apartments will be linked via dedicated routes serviced by electric buggies to the facilities of The Grange, the Activity Park and Wellbeing Centre. Brookmead Place residents will be able to access additional services provided by The Grange, including meals either taken in the dining room or delivered to the apartments if wished. They will be able to use the physiotherapy and other treatment services including the in-house hair and beauty salon.
21 staff accommodation units will be provided to help attract and retain valuable staff and ensure that staff are always available on site for round the clock care and support.
There will be designated parking areas for both The Grange and Brookmead Place. Undercroft parking will be available which will keep cars away from the green space and will maintain pleasant views across the landscape. The undercroft parking can also be used as a storage facility if required.
